Our History, how it all started…
Pointstar was founded in 2007 by a group of passionate technologists & marketeers who firmly believed in how the web would change the way people lived. Information is a driving force of today’s knowledge based economies, our aim is to create and deploy the tools that would enable the lives of millions of people to be changed by access to best-in-class tools through easy to use interfaces. With so many fascinating technologies and concepts such as Web 2.0 and the iPhone emerging as platforms of tomorrow, we saw a big gap in that they were still available only to select firms. Hence, one of our aims is to assist people and companies from around the world to enjoy the benefits of these new developments.

The web shouldn’t be difficult to use! Our heritage in design and our ability to pull together a technology team that is excellent in executing web-based projects, have positioned our company as one of the premier digital media development firms around.
Our original founding vision was “Guiding Your Way Into the Interactive World”. However, we have since refined this to be “The Cloud Within Reach” because more and more of our customers are asking to be on the cloud . This vision guides us in everything that we do. It instills in all our employees the principle that our job is always to have “The Cloud Within Reach” for our clients. This holds our employees to the highest standards as effective and trusted consultants in this space for our clients. In order to uphold this, we have to be continually learning about what’s available at the leading edge of web and computing technology. This enables us to provide prudent, effective advice as a technology practice.
PointStar Today and Tomorrow
Our company has grown leaps and bounds since our humble beginnings. We believe that it is the culture that was set-forth in the initial founding stages of that will help carry us into a future global success story.
The company was founded in the sunny city-state of Singapore, well-known world-wide as one of the most information technology savvy nations. Walking around Singapore city, many visitors would marvel at the various uses of technologies that have made life easier for its citizens. From its world-class e-government initiatives to the high-tech devices that its citizenry use daily, it is an example of modern city life made easy with technology.
PointStar was founded in a way that was reminiscent of the sweat and toil put in by the founding fathers of our countries. The company was bootstrapped from the beginning aside from the little seed capital from is founders. In its early months, it was supported by the energy and enthusiasm of its founding team, employees and interestingly a group of ‘Super-interns’ who assisted the founding team in anything and everything, with an abundance of passion.

Gradually as our team grew, we were able to take on more full-time staff who then took on the even heavier responsibilities. With the dedication and team work, we were able to establish ourselves in the market and take on projects of greater scale.
Today, we have matured not just as a company but also in terms of our operational model. Our founding team made great efforts to model our internal HR, project management process and so on after those of established MNCs. With our systems, resources and clientele in good shape, our company makes continued strides forward in guiding even more people into and through the interactive world!
A new era in our new office
Due to the strong growth our company has seen in the last two years. We have since outgrown our original office space and we’re now in a much larger space where we can house all our employees in one space.
Our office has been designed from the ground up by our Founders to be specially designed for our line of knowledge work. High ceilings. Large walls. Collaborative spaces. These are the features that are littered all around that make our work even more effective as the workspace is designed to foster a strong sense of collaboration between our employees.
