More Updates with Google Apps
- It’s too troublesome sometimes to comb through my emails to search for the new documents shared with me. Google Docs has updated its homepage, so that new items display a little “New!” indicator flag.
- I can now also differentiate “Viewed” and “Unviewed” documents easily, with my “Unviewed” document titles highlighted in bold. When changes are made to a viewed item, its title will be saved in bold again.
This really supplements housekeeping for the incredibly disorganized folks (like me), a little help goes a long way :

- Keeping in tune with requests from Google Docs Product Ideas, the second update introduced is the standardization of toolbars of Google Docs editors. This would be especially helpful in the initial stages of implementation; a “uniform interface” enables a gentler learning curve, which eases memory imprinting.
(See IT Solution managers, Google gets you.)

- The last update for my entry would be for Google Apps administrators, you can now redefine your users’ scope of chat by enabling or disabling the ability to chat outside of your domain. Another feature would be enabling a setting so that chat invitations within the same domain can be automatically accepted. It should be noted that this is only for Google Apps Premier and Education editions.
Toy around with these updates, see if they are as beneficial to you.
