Google Docs, now with Shared Folders Capability
If you accessed your Google Documents today, there is a sighting of a little Google blurb that mentions the new Share Folders update. It is the most requested for Google Docs feature and functions just as we expect.
Collaboration is the keyword and now that’s easier with bigger projects and teams. WIth invitations ,you get to control who has access to folder content. They see the files as the folders are updated, all in real time .

Another updated feature is the new upload page, you get to choose multiple files now and upload them with a few easy clicks. Use “Shift” or “Ctrl” to pick various files and watch as the little progress bars allow you to estimate upload time.
The third feature would be the comeback of “Items not in folders” feature. This is useful for documents of personal use, like To-Dos or professionally incoherent drafts of work. The filter functions in a way that’s aligned with the new share folder feature, where nobody is able to disrupt your workflow. Example, if you share an item with me and I put it in a shared folder, it is still in your items not in folders view.
Try these features out and see if Google has kept in tune with your work needs.
