Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook is a plugin that enables users to retain the Microsoft Outlook interface for email, calendar and contacts as they transition to Google Apps, connecting to Google Apps back end rather than Microsoft Exchange Server.

Current users have access to the latest features and fixes with automatic updates. Many have been requesting support for multiple calendars, and their wish has been granted since Google Apps Sync Version 1.6.155.1603. (Take note, this is for Premier and Education editions.)

When new calendars are created in Outlook, you can now sync them with Google Apps. For your Google Apps calendars with which you have write permissions and appear unhidden in your Google Apps Calendar list, they can also now be synced to Outlook.

Prior to this update, enterprises have had to purchase third party software to manage multiple Google calendars. Fortunately, from now, businesses can save money on these software acquisitions and purposefully allocate their resources elsewhere.
