Gmail: Send Attachments while Offline
Being one of the most requested features for Offline Gmail, Google has recently introduced the ability to include attachments in composed messages while Offline.
Offline Gmail needs to be enabled first, under the Labs tab in your account and attachments would work as expected whether you are offline or online. The only problem is that you would not be able to have inline images when you’re offline.
Now, all the mail will go through the outbox, Gmail will get hold of all the attachments, even when you experience a problem with the web.

Once the browser is reloaded, there will be an “Offline” link in the upper right hand corner of your Gmail page. The link will take you to Offline Gmail set up. Google Gears however, needs to be already installed on your machine.
On the same note, Google is encouraging users to send pictures of themselves using Gmail in unusual places while they’re disconnected from the web. Try it out and send your pictures to hikingfan@gmail.com!
